DJ Kmin has been interested in music since childhood.
He first attended piano lessons and later joined a dance studio. Ever since elementary school, Kmin has been involved in music production at school events. Back then, he mixed using cassettes, but since 1996 he has been working with decks.

His first public performance took place in one of the clubs in his hometown of Ostrava in 1997, and since then he has been an active part of the DJ scene. He started playing house and speed garage, which later led him to nu-skool breaks and ghetto funk. Nowadays, he has returned to house music.

In addition to DJing, he also worked as a radio presenter and music editor at a radio station in Ostrava. Although he has been DJing since 1996, he began producing music later — first creating bootlegs and later his own tracks and official remixes for several well-known artists. He is also part of the production team behind the music festival Beats For Love.
