Jon FD (The Focussed Distraction) is a DJ, producer, musician and songwriter.

For his live performances he's settled on placing himself in the unique position of a one man band with the aid of a looper, guitar and various other electronic effects modules.

Drawing on eclectic influences like Matthew Dear, Caribou, LCD Soundsystem, Death In Vegas and Aphex Twin, helps him stand out as an utter phenomenon, creating a scenario of enchanting and unique sounds whilst looping melodic and rhythmic layers.

His tracks have received airplay from Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 2), Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Introducing), Simon Raymond (Amazing Radio UK) and Gill Mills (Best of Myspace Podcast).
