Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I started playing drums and percussion at 8 years old. As a teenager, I performed with orchestras at Carnegie Hall and with my band at CBGB's. I drew inspiration from diverse genres and artists, from Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Soundarden, to A Tribe Called Quest and Digable Planets, to Miles Davis, to Portishead. Playing music even helped me get into my college of choice.

I started DJing in 2015, and took to it very quickly, partly because I'd been DJing in my head all of these years - making mix tapes and thinking of which songs would sound good in succession or if mixed together. Now, I'm actually doing it with my turntables, mixer and laptop, and having a blast! When spinning for a party or event, I feed off of the crowd's energy and vice versa. I love playing music that makes people uplifted and joyous; hence the name HyperBallad.
