"It's all about the vibe", says DJGroovemaker. "It's all about the people who are attracted to the music that is played. They create the experience on the dance floor and that is where the show is!”
DJ Groovemaker was known as Terry Phillips when he was first exposed to dance music on the club scene in the early 90's while growing up outside of New York City. When just 18 years old, a friend snuck him in to Club Life down in The Village. "And that's where I fell in love with free style dancing and dance music.” said Groovemaker.
Groovemaker thinks of himself as a facilitator for the dancers on the dance floor, helping them to connect with their primal selves and with each other. "Let's have fun, let's be sexy and let's celebrate this sensual dance of life!
