San Diego native, Dennis "Dennis J" Jones, got his first pair of turntables in 1987.
Being rooted in old-school, he original concentrated on spinning complex styles of house, rock (metal, pop, and classic), electropop and freestyle. Being a fast study, he took to studying the styles of legendary DJs that were known for cross-genre, and quickly developed a unique style of his own.
Dennis runs The Creative Music DJ-- a mobile DJ company which has formed a niche in the local market by bringing a unique blend of club style mixing, professional event coordination, and energetic emceeing to all events. He currently holds a position on the Board of Directors in the San Diego chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA), and is a regular member of the San Diego Disc Jockey Association (SDDJA). He has built relationships with fund-raiser board members from American Cancer Association's Relay for Life and books several performances per year at their semi-annual charity events.
