DJ Colander is a cybernetic maintenance droid whose chassis is a reanimated human being who used to go by the name of Brendan O'Melia, retrofit with a positronic brain matrix built around a kitchen utensil and with a number of cybernetic upgrades; when the Colander was first switched on random things started to happen. So random in fact that that many who were witness to these tangents thought that he was creating a new language. When DJ Collander had time to acclimatise to his new environment it was found that his main stimulus was music, such was his hunger for input that many musical forms were tried and Dj Colander tended to fixate and perform best when similarly random and eclectic music was presented. It was natural that the only further use for DJ Colander was to become a DJ.
DJ Colander has been making scattered appearances in the UK now for a number of years probably first sited in 2008 at Psycle a long running Psy Trance night in Nottingham. He is still fully functioning.
