It had been a while since I put together a techno mix! Here's the third installment in the "We Called It Techno" series, mixed manually from vinyl, with no laptops or MIDI controllers used (of course). A little bit of post-production was applied to help smooth out the levels.
Includes classics by Messiah, Pizzaman (aka Fatboy Slim), Sharada House Gang, and much more. Depeche Mode fans will especially love track #3. ;) WARNING: This contains a tiny bit of possibly objectionable language.

As with the first two "We Called It Techno" installments: The title of the mix comes from the fact that I know a lot of these songs won't technically qualify as "techno" to the genre purists out there. Some, I'm sure, would qualify as old-school rave, or electro, or possibly even breakbeat. However, in Oklahoma in the 1990s, we didn't break down the subgenres too much. Most of those who went to the clubs such as Ikon back in the day would have defined the tracks as "techno." We loved the music, and we called it techno. :)
