In celebration of the 25TH ANNIVERSARY of my first DJ performance (September 29th, 1989!), I'm proud to present the first of the PROGRESSION SERIES, a set of club classic/alternative mixes from the late 1980s and very early 1990s.
It all starts with "Ruthless Progression," containing a slew of mega-rare extended club remixes jam-packed with memories of my earliest years in the DJ industry.
This is the most "personal" mix that I've recorded so far. Every track in here - from the classic Depeche Mode B-side "Happiest Girl" to the LOOOONG-but-awesome "Always on My Mind/In My House" (with Neil Tennant rapping!) - is special to me for one reason or another.
All transitions in this mix were done using vinyl, turntables and a mixer - no laptops, MIDI controllers or autosync. Post-production was applied to address some levels issues, add DJ drops, etc.

I also want to mention that this is almost an entirely clean mix, but there's one "dirty" word included and, of course, the female moans in "All She Wants Is" sound mighty suggestive.
