DJ Abita was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. She grew up spending most of her time listening to music on the radio. Influenced by professional DJ's such as "GRAND MASTER FLASH, AFRICA BAMBAATAA, RUN DMC, and JAM MASTER JAY." Abita fell in love with the sounds of scratching vinyl's, back spinning and mixing records.
