D.Fola is a multi instrumentalist, singer & emcee from Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Born in Calabar, Nigeria before leaving at the age of four to grow up in Northern Ireland, he fuses influences of Neo-Soul, Funk, Jazz and Hip Hop to create his unique sound.

Moving to Newcastle at the age of eighteen to study Music Production & becoming proficient on percussion, drums, bass, trumpet and as a vocalist; since 2005 he has been
carving out a career as a live performer, producer, educator, session musician & family man.

Fast forward to 2022 and D.Fola is now embarking on his first solo release with new single “Sky Blue”; a J-Dilla inspired groove with splashes of jazz inspired trumpet
(think Chet Baker meets Roy Hargrove) and soulful vocal arrangements that evoke a euphoric feel good factor and lyrics will a message of peace, love and positivity.
