I made this mix in less than 24h (it usually takes me weeks or days at least to gather the songs, the ideas,the overall vibe, etc.) the inspiration came after watching Maya Angelou's "And Still I Rise" (which I highly recommend to watch). With this mix I want to portray the Empowerment I felt afterwards.
It was logical to me to start off this mix with Anthony Hamilton's song "Ball and Chain", which story is similar to Dr. Angelou's movie plot "Down in the Delta".
