DarkLight is a Johannesburg-based Drum & Bass DJ with a long-standing connection to music that started early and never really let go. Drawn to DnB for its nasty basslines and the sense of community around it, his sound leans into a gritty, dark rolling atmosphere without overcomplicating things.

Coming from a background of playing in live bands, the move into DJing felt like a natural next step. That foundation shows in how he builds sets - less about just mixing tracks, more about flow, timing, and reading a room.

He’s played at local events like Manifest and has even had the opportunity to open for local acts like PHFAT, steadily finding his place within the scene while staying true to his roots.
