Colin Cook was born in Detroit Michigan, and raised in New Mexico; Colin Cook has loved music since day 1, and has brought many diverse sounds to the Techno scene. Starting back when he was only a kid, he played multiple instruments and was a member of a few local bands. After moving to Iowa, Colin found techno and the transition began. During that period, he found his own niche within the community and ran with it.
Colin Cook’s influences range from Warehouse, Detroit, and European styles of techno. Combine that with his high energy and unique, “progressive but not too progressive sound.” and it sets him apart from most. Using dark background sounds and heavy driving bass lines, his music is best described as “Tough-guy Techno.”
