SONIC COCOON is a community-based pop up radio show based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Together with @liliesradio and @nappystudioza , we’re exploring the beauty of sonic cocooning — where music becomes a refuge, a space to return to yourself. Our first gathering takes place this Sunday at Nappy Studio in Observatory.

In a world that often overlooks the beauty of raw creativity it’s not always easy to access the version of yourself that’s only focusing on what YOU want to play and listen to. But that’s where real creativity lives: in the moments where you’re not performing, but simply being.

This guest mix show aims to emphasize the use of music and sound as a means of comfort and intimacy, similar to how a cocoon provides protection and a nurturing environment for transformation.
