Born in Inglewood, California. Ryan Michael Lewis grew up in South Central, in a 2 bedroom house with his older brother Devin. Fighting hard to resist the temptations of the illegal activity going on in his neighborhood, Cloud 9ine KO turned his love for music into his everyday passion. Growing up listening to mostly Motown from the 1960s and hip-hop, at the age of 12 years old Cloud 9ine KO developed his own writing flow that would later become his signature style. At the age of 15, Cloud 9ine KO went in to the studio and started recording verses for a couple of his friends from around his area. Many songs which he was featured on, but mostly unreleased. It wasn’t until 2012, Cloud 9ine KO recorded a verse , featured on his cousin Blaine’s “Never Had A Love” which would get the attention of many people leading up to the releasing of his debut mixtape, "Rare Breed Society".
