Cloaka established himself within the bass scene in 2012. Known for his dark, experimental style, he pushes a breakbeat-led sound that’s always club-focused and constaly evolving. Characteristically dynamic and never predictable, Cloaka draws influence from early Jungle, Garage, Drum & Bass melding with the contemporary sounds of the club scene.

The industry recognises both Cloaka’s technical sophistication and his unconventional sound: “It was moody, it was menacing.” (Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1)

“A megalomash of techno, bass and futurism … it’s abundant with life and teeming with skillful bouts of craftsmanship.” (Liar, Tessier-Ashpool)

Cloaka’s previous releases were quickly picked up by labels including Four 40 records and Madtech and showcased by Rinse FM, BBC Radio, Reprezent Radio and many more. He also started his own imprint, Heretic, bringing through new artists he felt deserved exposure, including Denham Audio and Krotone.
