Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, and now based in Auckland, New Zealand, Clinton Mann has been in the music industry for 25 years. Clinton’s career started off as a guitarists, keyboard player and rapper for the 90’s SA Dance band the Slam Factory and collaborated as songwriter with Pete Boxsta Martin (Jessie J, Sugababes, Danny K) for a few years until he decided to start his own group ‘ Sounds of Soul ‘. Sounds of Soul received their 1st SAMA nomination in 1998 for Best Pop Performance.
Clinton has worked with the following SA artists Slam Factory, Mynie Grove, Zayn Adams, Storm FX, O’Ryan Winter, Judith Sephuma, The Rockets, HomeBase, Belinda Davids, Neville D, Richard Ceasar, Taliep Pietersen, Litsa, D Low, Carmen Xclusive……..
Outside of SA, Clinton has worked with a number of NZ Music award winning artists including TJ Taotua, STKS, Sara Jane, Anna Coddington and Grace Ikenasio.
He has shared stages with the likes of Duran Duran, Shaggy, Dr Alban, Reel
