A former successful Opera singer, managed by Luciano Pavarotti, I was forced for health reasons to retire prematurely from the opera stage. I worked for a time as PA to the composer Gian-Carlo Menotti, and it was the combination of a long-standing admiration for Trevor Horn’s music, and Menotti’s encouragement shortly before his death in 2007, that persuaded me to begin writing and composing in my own right.
So far, I’ve released four singles, written two film scores, and a handful of commercials and small-screen documentary music.
I was a participant on the Hans Zimmer Film Score Masterclass in 2017, and my music will be included in the Sundance Festival Community, part of the Sundance Film Festival, in California, in 2019. Future plans include the score to a new BBC documentary marking the 75th anniversary, in 2020, of the liberation of Bergen Belsen concentration camp, at the end of World War 2. A project very close to my heart - my grandfather was among the British Force.
