Circumstances is a project that produces every day, fragmentary and surreal stories through joint ad-hoc music making. It deals with the possibilities of a common intuitive language, beyond determined forms of musical articulation and the related experience of a fragile and changing community.
Circumstances is influenced by the tradition of intuitive music. Apart from the instruments and a time frame, there are no agreements. Particular environmental circumstances, as well as personal stories and conditions are triggers for the interplay of the musicians. The constant flux of acoustic artifacts that occur through the particular setting is creating an ambiguous musical environment.
