I am not a religious man. But I frequently hunger for some good Gospel music to lift me out of whatever funk I happen to have slid into. Today I'd like to share some soul-satisfying songs I collected this year from a man previously unknown to me. I suspect he's unknown to you as well.
Danny Brooks played in blues, country, hard rock and rhythm and blues bands in the 70’s and 80’s when he wasn’t in prison for alcohol and drug addiction. Once he found Jesus Danny has been using his talents to spread a message of no matter who you are, what you've done, how far down you've sunk and how bad you may feel about the present, there is absolutely nothing that God and you can't work out together. And he does it without preaching at you. There’s no attempt to convert. Danny just writes and sings heartfelt, soulful expressions of his faith.
