Changa Manga is a collaboration between Martin Kriebel and Christopher Hope who have been mates through music for over 30 years. In the early 90's Martin was on lead guitar for Cape Town's top Death Metal band Necrosis, which featured Gregg PsySonic Nutter on drums. While Christopher, from a young age had and ear for all sorts of good music, which he would be asked to play at house parties as a teen. In 1994, Martin and Chris were exposed to acts like Prodigy and Orb for the first time in clubs like Deviate and Gel. Soon acts like Eat Static and Etnica replaced their favorite Metal bands. Not long after that, Changa Manga was born - a trippy psychedelic act that focuses on the Psydub/chill and downtempo beats which this duo love. Changa Manga has performed at most of the big Psy events to date including Rezonance NYE Festivals, Origin, Vortex Trance Adventures, Jungala and Bazique. Not to forget many smaller parties and privates functions too!
