Chainsnatcher is a Los Angeles–based DJ with over 30 years behind the decks, beginning on vinyl in the mid-1990s rave scene. His sound is rooted in Chicago house, shaped by the swing, funk, and restraint of Derrick Carter and DJ Sneak, with early foundations in hip hop informing his emphasis on sampling and groove.

While house remains central, his sets move fluidly across techno, tech house, disco, and garage, adapting to the room with a focus on cohesion, pacing, and musicality over spectacle.

After relocating to China, he became one of the most prominent and widely recognized DJs in the country, ranking among the top three from 2005 to 2007. As one half of Die Familia, he has released on Purveyor Underground and its vinyl imprint, with collaborations featuring Rimarkable and Juwan Rates. His solo EP, Chi-Town Anthem on Late Night Jackin’, marks a return to core influences, with new releases forthcoming.
