Christchurch, New Zealand

Chachi kicked off his journey into Drum and Bass in 2006 and played across New Zealand until his retirement in 2021.

In a time when Christchurch was dominated by dark, heavy Neuro DnB sounds, Chachi stood out by playing a wide variety of drum and bass from lush rolling Liquid to the upfront Jump Up sound that he later became known for. Playing something different from the rest of the pack helped Chachi catch the attention of local promoters, culminating in a closing set at the legendary Ministry Night Club after Andy C and MC GQ in 2010. Since then Chachi has supported Andy C a further Six times over the years, as well as playing support for a wide range of artists such as DJ Hype, The Upbeats, Sigma, TC, Noisia, The Prototypes, DC Breaks, Camo & Krooked, Danny Byrd, LSB, Bcee, Commix and many many more. In 2015 Chachi cemented his name in New Zealand Drum and Bass history by winning the long-running, highly respected competiton Rumble in the Jungle.
