I for one think that the EDM scene right now is narrow. DJs plays only the hot genres at the moment and neglect all other genres. It's often you go to any EDM event and would only hear 3-4 genres out of so many DJs from start to finish and not hear any Breakbeats at all. It was so big in the early years of the Rave scene and that lasted a good number of years! Now, it's just about dead. Certificate X for one would love for it to make a comeback! We're seeing the big revival of Jungle/DNB currently. Hear some breaks now.? We have a relative genre style of today mixed in with the old. Tearout Breakbeats! Hopefully, as they say trends are circular. Whatever was big that fades away gets a revival. Hopefully.
