Between 2000 and 2001 a collective of fellow hip-hop DJs came together to record 5 infamous mix shows for the Berlin-based web platform rap.de (shoutout to the homie Mueslee for hooking us up). DJ Cashes, DJ Zettt aka BobaFettt and DJ Wax aka Wax Gotti, all of them located in Schöneberg and Tiergarten the heart of City West and doing their thing in mixtape, local party and emerging scratch scene back then, came down to spin and jock their favorite joints as well as freak the funk on some badass scratching. A burner of cover art designed CMD's own and Berlin grafitti legend Bad Leroy made the icing on the cake. After a basement discovery of the original master CDs and as rap.de went offline during the pandemic, we decided to put this small part of Berlin hip-hop culture back on for old and new listeners to bop their heads to.
