DJ Carlos "El Guate" started his music career in 1987, in Guatemala City with small projects. He was also a DJ at the Top radio station program called "Salsarengue". In 1992, he moved to Chicago and has been a professional DJ for more than 19 years, working throughout Chicago & its suburbs, playing live at Salsa night clubs and Mobile Disco industries, providing a large selection of classic salsa music with a strong danceable rhythm, also plays Merengue Bachata and Cha Cha. Carlos el "Guate Dj" has been performing as a dj for The Chicago Intenational Salsa Congress since 2005.
