When musical notes are placed in sequence and parallel, acompanied by a rhythm and time signature, and when the spoken word is applied or not, to this often heady mix, there is a reaction that cannot be quantified by the most lofty egghead. "De Gustibus est non disputandem" This is not a clarion call to abandon our transportational duets in favour of public transport (that is reseved for the phrase "sic transit gloria monday") but in fact an unequivacle argument for the fact that there IS no argument where music is concerned. It is pointless to curmudgeon-like bully people into the beleif that your opinion of a 'nice tune' is in fact wrong and they have the monopoly on good taste. All we can possibly hope to do is play musical compositions with a good heart and enthusiastically fill an hour of a day every so often with a bunch of tunes. It is our peers who can prevent us from enjoying music for its own sake. If you play Sebelius to a 5 year old - they will get it. Finally, wig out OK?
