The Manic Mix

My first feature-length mix, completed in 2010. I had been creating playlists of manic, energetic tracks for some time, and I decided to mash them together into an hour-long torrent of chaos.

As you can see, the mix mainly uses WARP artists like Aphex Twin and Autechre. My music collection was still growing, but I had plenty of tracks with schizophrenic beats and insanely happy melodies. Nowadays I'd prefer to make a mix with a more sophisticated atmosphere, but here it's every track for itself, all screaming for attention without a moment's breath.

If you have an hour to spare and don't want to go to sleep, why not give it a listen.
