CHY FM was the FIRST EVER student run FM station in Australia and it continues to be a leader among public broadcasting stations, earning national awards and educating over 5000 trainees since 1973 – some of our alumni have even gone on to have full time commercial radio careers!
All the music is programmed by us locally in our studio near the Jetty! Which means we decide what to play – so feel free to contact the station with any requests, reviews and suggestions because CHY FM is all about the community.
