Phil Welch's DJ sets are never boring, that's for sure; the journey taking crowds through a mixture of house, electro, techno, old skool, hardcore, breaks and funk, held up by an impressive collection of original vinyl pressings dating back to the 80's. Getting into music at an early age through listening to Tamla Motown on his Mum's 45's led to mixing on Technics by the age of 19, just as the dawn was rising over dance music. This hobby, very soon turned profession... Playing at intimate parties for just a few hundred people to over half a million (Paris Techno Parade 1999), gracing clubs such as 414, The Fridge, Glasshouse, 93 Feet East, Rhythm Factory, Legends and Scala, Corsica studios, Jacks, SEone and traveling to DJ in Germany, France, Thailand's Full Moon Parties, Rio and Australia. hese days Phill has been resident at some of London’s top bars; Now resident MEZA playing to the Soho crowd every week.
