Broadcasting Neverland’ is a poignant short film about one woman’s struggle against her own grief in a post apocalyptic setting where the sun never sets. This is the first cinematic outing for well known Yorkshire performer Meriel Malone who has been described as an ‘Edgy Neo PUNK poet whom commands audience with wit and poison‘ by Louder Than War journalist John Robb. The creative team behind this are all students from the University of Bradford Media department, who met during their final year of study.
‘Broadcasting Neverland’ follows our female heroine Jane as she battles inner demons and past memories in her new claustrophobic environment and isolation of never ending daylight. With the director [Rachelle Hunt] leaning heavily on the traditions ‘end of the world’ films while still taking the audience on a journey that is both unique and heart felt.
