RETRO is a lot of things all at once. It’s an ode to 80’s style and sound that's carried over through the decades; a 4.5-hour cassette journey of kick drums, synths, and big choruses. It’s different from the last mix, set in chapters rather than a continuous flow. It’s purposefully nostalgic, even dreamy and melancholy at points. It’s double the music, and almost entirely made by YOU (Yes! Your recommendations helped design this one). Most of all, it’s a sonic distraction into a neon-bathed world, just for you.
This is hands-down my favorite style of music. I put a lot of love, time and effort into this one; I hope that love shines through. Like driving past city lights down the coast during a balmy summer sunset.
