Frank Wilke (trumpet, trombone, voice)
Born in 1962, his first musical preferences were acquired on his parents‘ record player sitting cross-leged in the mid-sixties of the last century. Even here, there was a keen interest in brass music in the form of the „Egerlander Musikanten“.
Later he was influenced by (free-)jazz music as well as baroque, romantic and modern classical music he continuously practiced free improvisation in the studio and on stage alongside dealing with written music. At present he is member of SOUNDFOG trio (Herne, Ruhr-District Germany), duo Reineke/Wilke (Wuppertal, Germany), DER PROFANE CHOR (Bochum, Germany) and the International Arts Collective THEN SHE REACHES FOR THE GUN (led by Mat Ward, Hobart, Australia). For many years he has worked together with friends of the Frankfurt/Main electronic music scene (trabouliste, szmt, Worsel Strauss, Ldx#40).
