Brandon Elliot (aka) DJ Brainchild originally from, Los Angeles, CA, has been djing for over 10 years now. With nothing but a hand me down, VERY shitty numark tt100's decks and a RADIOSHACK mixer, Brandon started spinning hip hop at the young age of 14. Spinning beats from artists like a Tribe Called Quest, Lootpack, Jeru the Damaja, Wu-tang, Nas, Masta Ace, Living Legends and Zion I, Jedi Mind Tricks and all the other positive early 90s hip hop was the regular. At 15, with his own set of numarks tt250, Brandon was introduced to the world of electronic music and he quickly fell in love with drum n bass. Brainchild was also strongly influenced by the ragga jungle scene and soon began to accumulate a wide variety of ragga jungle/dancehall records.
