Born in the 70s, grew up in the 80s and raved in the 90s.
Like all DJ's my age I started on vinyl and spent hours in record shops looking for new records. I'm from East London and grew up in an era of break dance music, which for me was the first steps into dance music. I started DJ'ing in pubs and private venues around 87 playing soul/disco and R&B. I was never into pop music, but that's what most people wanted, until the rise of acid house. The 90's arrived and the acid house scene was in full swing, taking over all the clubs. Unfortunately, that's when I stopped being a DJ, not because I didn't like playing house music but just preferred the other side of the decks raving. Over the years a lot of my records got damaged, lost or forgotten until about 10 years ago in 2016 I fell in love with DJ'ing again and collecting records. Today I have strengthened my record collection and still enjoy playing vinyl sets, but also enjoy the modern way of DJ'ing from my usb stick.
