Roger Taylor records under the project name Beyond Our Galaxy. His main influences are Berlin School stalwarts Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, Krautrock innovators like Cluster, Popol Vuh and Ashra as well as old school synthesizer pioneers like Jean-Michele Jarre and Vangelis. Also Taylor was highly influenced by many 70s and 80s New Wave/Post Punk Bands like Gary Numan/Tubeway Army, Ultravox, OMD, Simple Minds, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Japan/David Sylvian and Joy Division/New Order. Other influences include Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Steve Roach, Erik Wollo, Zombi/Steve Moore/Majeure and many more. Self taught, he composes using Propellerhead Reason and Ableton Live along with a multitude of VST synths and effects.
