San Francisco, United States

Benu's journey to DJ'ing began in the late 1980's as a hip hop dancer and early electro, rap, and Miami Bass fan. In 1990, After being spotted dancing, Benu was invited to join a private rave club in the U.S. that regularly hosted internationally renowned DJ's including Sasha and John Digweed. This marked the beginning of a lifelong passion for rave culture, club dancing and underground electronic music. Those early musical influences can be heard in Benu's cross-genre high vibration sets with tracks from Indie dance, melodic house, organic house, minimal techno, progressive house, and tech house, amongst others. Benu's sets are meant to inspire you to not only move your body, but to feed your soul and inspire an exploration of the innate dualities and tensions that exist within all of us, such as logic vs emotion, human vs machine, intensity vs calm, destruction vs creation. Self-actualization and enlightenment exist in the space where synthesis of these dualities takes place.
