The Blastmaster Record Review was a program which aired as original Churban Programming during the infancy of HOT 97's Hip Hop Radio format in the latter half of 1994. The segments varied in length and ran twice a day every Wednesday from late June until early December of 1994. KRS ONE would cut the tracks every Tuesday afternoon and I would do the editing into what is now some nice pieces of history. The first track presented here is the program's teaser that ran in every station daypart for the duration of the show. I got to record KRS' voicework on a few occasions during the course of this program's run and have always said that he and LL Cool J (who also had a current affairs program on HOT 97 called ALLWEGOTLEFTISTHEBEAT which I got to produce as well) were such genuine human beings; they were a pleasure to work with. This program ended when Hot 97 gave KRS his own show called Future Flavas that aired on Sunday nites where KRS ONE got to air out his thoughts in full.
