SkekTek and Souljunk both had solid solo careers before they met, with over 17 years of combined experience behind the decks at events large and small. Mutual respect for one another's skills led to a tag set at Pangaea in Bowling Green in April of 2012. A year later, the two artists officially combined their talents into a tag duo, proving the old adage that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. From Backcountry Beatdown's debut at the packed out MOVE 1 Year Anniversary party, they've rocked crowds with their fiercely energetic sets, and have been known to include as many as six genres in a set. Each throws his own taste and style into the mix, resulting in sets that are constantly moving and taking the crowd on an exhilarating journey through bass music.
