Baastik started out in music at the age of 16 after 4 years this resulted in a small but dedicated fanbase eventually leading to the success of his track "Cancelled" a Bouncy tech house tune garnering over 1,500+ streams. on the tails of that he release his top track to date "On the Run"a DnB UKG fusion tune garnering over 2,000 streams across platforms in June of 2023. knowing this was just the beginning he took it as a sign for him to continue the work he was already doing. Inspired by the likes of Aphex Twin, Bekon, Flying Lotus, Sam Gelliatry, Lone, Geotheory, Katranada, SOPHIE, and Skrillex.
