The term “Boy Scout” has become an American archetype, synonymous with truth telling, good deeds and preparedness. Our name is a contradiction, and emblematic of the derangement of the American Character. As satire, The BSA has made recent efforts to be more inclusive, however, atheists are still not permitted membership. As a Punk/Metal rock group, our unifying position is anti- authoritarian. We used the ancient symbol of The Helm of Awe (which provides protection from powerful men) on our album cover. Our use of this Nordic rune has NOTHING TO DO WITH ETHNICITY, but rather ancient mysticism.
