DJ BOOGIEMAN is a “semi” retired veteran DJ performer, well known for his longevity (40 years+) on the scene. Born in Curaçao in the 60’s, his musical career included playing drums and mandolin in the 70's, but his love for dance music made him cross over to editing and selling mix tapes, moving swiftly from using reel to reel and cassettes into vinyl in the 80s, switching to CD’s in the 90s and now he is fully embraced in the digital reality using mostly Pioneer gear combined with SERATO technology. "BOOGIE" as insiders call him had non-stop residencies from the 80s till 2015 in mainly clubs in Philadelphia (La Cumbia, Prince’s Total Experience) and Curaçao (The Pub, TMF Cafe, Mambo Beach Club, The Living Room, Wet N Wild and many more). Lately he has been putting up many "retro" mixes on the Internet for the listening pleasure of 80s lovers. DJ BOOGIEMAN now only performs on special request.
