Central Ohio entertainment industry advocate; Jay Brooks was born in Youngstown, Ohio to his father Kurt Brooks and mother Susan Kauffman Brooks, and has one brother, Jordan Brooks.

Jay became interested in the entertainment industry at an early age by the influence of his Aunt; Paula Wagner and Uncle; Rick Nicita, and has been in the entertainment industry since. He created BCB Productions in the late 1990s with the hopes of bringing more focus from the major entertainment industry to the Midwest area, and to create his own artistic visions. He has a very deep established link of resources, and tries to expand his range and influence to assist in the local entertainment industry. Jay Has been involved not only within the film industry, but also within the music industry, and is a board member of The Columbus Film Council.
