Bassgasm has been involved in electronic music since the mid 90's. Playing under many different aliases he has dabled in many different genres. His sound of late is centered around big sub rumbling bass. He is not one to pre plan anything and prefers to let the mix evolve and grow. He sometimes describes his style as riding the lightning as he likes to stack multiple tracks at a time together and manipulate them into one cohesive sound. He feels that in a really good mix the audience would not be able to depict when one track ends and the next begins. His early inspiration came from jam bands like the grateful dead so in light of that improvisation is what drives him.
