Archelon

Bristol, United Kingdom

Archelon (Αρχέλων) was a genus of giant sea turtles that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 to 65 million years ago. It is considered one of the largest turtles to have ever existed, with some species reaching lengths of up to 4.5 meters (15 feet) and weighing as much as 2,200 kilograms (4,850 pounds).

Spiritually turtles represent longevity, wisdom, patience, endurance, protection, stability and connection to the Earth.
In some traditions turtles represent the idea of embarking on a spiritual journey.
Their slow and deliberate movements remind us to take our time and enjoy the process of personal growth and self-discovery.

Project Ecstatic Dance Archelon aims to embody Giant Ancient Turtle energy to weave sonic soundscapes for your own spiritual journey.

Listen along through headphones or come and join one of our Sober, Safe and Spiritually nurturing dance spaces.
