Well that will teach me not write an essay, here goes take 2.
I am an old school DJ, I use the term DJ losely as I haven't gigged in a very long time. I had a record collection so vast that I never tired from finding new mixes and my set up was awesome back when technics 1210`s and the likes where the best you could get. As I had a very very greedy ex when divorcing I had to get rid of the 2 passions in my life my music and my stupidly fast bike. I am more than competent using the latest tech to mix with but it just doesn't have the same exciting buzz when mixing, hey just my opinion. It is heart breaking that such an art form is dying out, yes mixing has a basic rule seamless blending of tracks but I find that the tech used today(I love my tech)can pretty much do the job for you. I started of on one belt driven deck of which I am sure was of my mates HIFI and one direct drive deck, the I got my technics thats when mixing for me became a passion. On the look out for some retro decks
