Amin first came to attention as the singer and guitarist of Navajiva, a Cologne-based band the local press hailed as a newcomer to watch in the late ’90s and early ’00s. During those years the band shaped its sound onstage, working its way through the city’s clubs while building a loyal following. Their momentum led to an invitation from the Goethe-Institut to tour India, where they performed for large audiences in Bangalore and Chennai. Around the same time, Amin contributed music to the feature film Zugvögel, adding another layer to his early creative path.
As a musical wanderer, he later spent long stretches in London and Manchester, pulled in by the grit and immediacy of the British music scene.
Today, Amin continues that line as a solo artist: grounded in experience, guided by intuition, and committed to the independent tradition that shaped him.
