Alfie D was born, Alfie Dean Russell, in 1994 in Whitechapel, London. He is one of three children. He soon moved to Essex and has grown up there. Alfie attended schools in Chigwell and Epping and is currently studying Music Technology at Redbridge College.
From a very young age, Alfie has been into music. He got his first keyboard at the age of eleven and soon taught himself to play by ear. Both Alfies Grandfathers play guitar and he has since learnt to play the guitar and drums. For his thirteenth birthday Alfie got a computer and he was already writing and performing his own tracks. He started to edit his own videos and broadcasting them on youtube, he got the buzz out of viewing figures and hasn't looked back since.
