D.M.TEETJE was born in Neumünster (a small town in northern Germany) in 1981. Together with his mother he grew up in a real hippie community where the hippie families shared their lives and life experiences with each other in different communes. During this period of his life D.M.TEETJE got in touch with electronic music for the first time and at the age of 15 he especially developed a big interest in techno. His trip to Love Parade 1998 in Berlin (Germany) had a big influence on his general understanding of techno music. On that particular weekend D.M.TEETJE understood the real message of techno and that's why this kind of music will always be a very important part in his live. After 10 years of celebrating and dancing to the different styles of techno this became quite a routine for him and so D.M.TEETJE searched for further styles of electronic music which could be based on techno but had to take the music into a completely different direction.
