Adelina S is a Lithuanian visual artist based in Senegal. Working with ethnomusicological methods, she creates immersive documentaries rooted in long-term fieldwork, exploring intimacy, personal experience and cross-cultural collaboration. Across the savannahs and deserts of the Sahel, she documents griots who travel from village to village, sustaining musical traditions and livelihoods through performance. Through film, photography, sound and radio, she is building an evolving archive of little-known voices and sounds, creating pathways for these musicians and their music to reach new audiences while preserving the cultural contexts, stories and relationships from which they emerge.
